Cap 4000™

Make Your Plant SAFE for VoIP!

Now that VoIP is being delivered by standard community television systems, primary protection on the coaxial cable at the premise entrance has become inevitable.

Multiple Protection Applications

With phone service comes the requirement of primary NEC Code (gas tube) protection. The next version of the code is sure to include the need for added safeguards. Due to the headset proximity to personnel, lightning and other power surges need to be suppressed.

Performing as ground block, splitter and gas tube “primary protection” are just a few of the CAP 4000™ advantages. Along with the added functionality of protecting both the CATV system from unwanted stray sheath currents and protecting the premises, it also protects the customer from the high currents or Hot Drops that can be present on the outer conductor of the coaxial drop due to power crossings.

Show Customers How Much You Care With CAP 4000 Protection From Dangerous Currents

A Bellcore rated fusing element allows the CAP 4000™ to open the outer conductor of the drop cable and at the same time maintain outer conductor shield integrity. A safe grounding condition for the network, and an alarm condition for the broadband provider is also realized.
